Who Be Dis? shows a blurry picture that sharpens step by step, and you guess who or what it is. Guess early for big points or wait for a clearer view and score less. Every round turns into a tense game of nerves, with somebody always shouting 'I knew it!' a second too late.

How Who Be Dis? plays on Game Room

1. Join the night from the host's link with just your name.
2. A picture appears on your phone, very blurry at first.
3. Over about 32 seconds it gets clearer in five steps.
4. Tap your answer from four choices whenever you feel sure.
5. The fully clear picture is revealed at the end, with its photo credit.
6. Your points go onto the night's leaderboard.

The rules

• Each picture is revealed in five steps, from very blurry to clear.
• There are four answer choices and one is right.
• You have about 32 seconds per picture.
• Your points depend on which step was showing when you answered, not on the exact second.
• A correct answer at the first, blurriest step earns full points. At the clear final step it earns half.
• The round is worth up to 1,000 points across all its pictures.
• Wrong answers score zero, so a wild early guess can cost you.

Tips to win

• Look at shapes and colours, not details. Hairstyles, outlines and backgrounds give a lot away early.
• Use the four choices: often only one of them fits the shape you can see.
• If you are fairly sure, answer before the next step appears. Waiting one step costs you points.
• Do not panic-guess at step one. A wrong answer scores nothing, while a correct answer at the end still gets half.
