What we store about players

The display name and emoji you choose, a random anonymous id for your device, your answers with the times our server received them, and your scores. You do not give us your email, phone number or real name to play.

What we store about organisers

Your email address and name from Google or email sign-in, your event settings, and any files you upload for your events.

What we never collect

Bank or card details, your precise location, your contacts, or your camera. We use no advertising cookies. The app keeps a small amount of data in your browser so you can rejoin an event.

Visit counts

We use Google Analytics (through Firebase) to count visits and see which pages and steps people use, such as creating a night or joining one. It sets its own cookies and sees your device type, browser, rough location from your internet address, and the pages you open. It does not see your answers, scores, name or email. Google's advertising features are switched off. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker; the games work the same.

Chat

Messages you send in a night's chat room are stored with that night, seen only by its players and host, and deleted with it. Links are removed automatically, and the host can delete messages or mute a player.

Reminders

If you tap "Remind me on this phone", your browser gives us a notification address for that phone (through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging). We use it only to remind you about that night: 30 minutes before, 5 minutes before and when it starts. It is kept with the night and deleted with it. You can turn notifications off at any time in your browser settings.

Where it is kept

On Google Firebase servers in Belgium (europe-west1). The website is served by Netlify.

Third parties

Music rounds play official 30-second previews directly from Deezer or Apple, so those services see your device's internet address when a clip plays. Google Analytics is described above. Photos are served from our own storage.

How long we keep it

Uploaded files are deleted 30 days after the event. Event results are kept for 12 months so players can look back at them, then deleted.
