About Game Room Naija
Game Room Naija runs online game nights for Nigerians, at home and abroad. Friends, families, churches and offices get on a Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp call, open one link on their phones, and play the games they grew up with: Whot, Ludo, Ayo, Naija trivia, Emoji Nollywood, Finish the Proverb, Draw Am and more. Scores add up live and one winner takes the night.
Why we built it
Nigerians are spread across Lagos, Abuja, London, Houston, Toronto and everywhere else, and the group chat is often the only place everyone meets. Game Room turns that chat into a game night: no app to install, nothing to set up, and it works on any phone with a browser.
How we keep it fair
Every answer, card and dice roll is checked and scored by our server, not by the players' phones, so nobody can fake a score. Ties for first place go to a sudden-death round.
Free, with no betting
Playing is free. There are no entry fees and no stakes, and Game Room never handles money. When an organiser offers a prize, they pay it to the winner directly.
Weekly game nights and the season
We host open game nights for everyone, announced in our WhatsApp community. Every point scored in a Game Room night counts towards the season leaderboard, and the player with the most points on 31 December wins the season prize.
